Conference Paper (Abstract)

Computerized Maintenance and Scheduling Management System (CMSMS) is a preventive maintenance and scheduling management software. It is designed to manage equipment in the industry and generate production scheduling by using artificial intelligence capability. There are 3 main subsystems which are Production Scheduling, Maintenance and Inventory.

Production Scheduling is a subsystem that generates an optimized production schedule based on equipment and craftsmen availability, production method and other factors. It is an artificial intelligence based system that applying genetic algorithm to simulate human thoughts into generating schedule.

Maintenance’s primary goal is to prevent equipment failure before it actually happen. It replaces worn components in a certain period of time to prolong equipment’s life and upkeep. It also will trigger for machines breakdown, allocates engineers to fix them and send data to Production Scheduling module so the module will be moved to another machine.

Inventory is a subsystem where user can modify and keep track parts. Alert will be shown if the part reach the minimum amount.
